%X Using canny edge detection operator, it is set 2 thresholds by users. Results of edge detection vary widely when we use the same threshold on the different images. This limits the practical application of Canny operator. To solve this problem, this paper presents an edge detection using odd Gabor filter. This method used non-maximum inhibition, and then used high and low threshold to detect the edge of the images. The experimental results show this algorithm not only overcome the defects of Canny algorithm, but also effectively wipe off the pseudo-edge of the image.
