%X A quality assessment method was proposed for color inverse halftoning based on space information. Firstly, the study transformed the inverse halftoning image and the original image into S-CIELab color space, by defining perception color difference and perception gradient, a quantitative index is constructed for apraising the color inverse halftoning image. Experiments show that the index reflects is consistent with the result of the subject assessment. It helps to design more efficient color inverse halftoning algorithms based on image content.
