%X A method of well test interpretation with video image was presented. According to the size of the object on the video image, the size of target in the well was calculated by using camera lens optics imaging principle. Based on the characteristics of the video image, the particular part of the image was binarized to separate oil and background, so analogous oil ratio in appointed depths could be calculated. First smoothing process was applied to the video images, and then the number of the oil holes in the appointed depths was calculated out by the edge detection of Gauss Laplace operator. The ellipse edge of the casting was revised to round-like edge of vertical well axle based on geometric rectification technology.
