%X To apply Spatial Fine Granularity Scalable Coding(S-FGS) efficiently, a design and implementation of preprocessor was proposed. This scheme used small RAM to store frame data. Moreover, parallel and pipelined data could be effectively applicable to this scheme. The analysis based on the simulation of the preprocessor shows that the scheme can meet the functional and real-time requirements of S-FGS.
