%X In order to enhance contrast of scenery images degraded by fog, an interpolating self-adaptive histogram equalization algorithm was proposed. It not only avoided the reliance of the physical model on the structure information of scene, but also reduced the computation complexity, eliminated the blocking effect, and enhanced the local information of images. Thus it was especially adapted to the fog-degraded images with scene depth variations. Experiment results show that the nerformance of the nroDosed algorithm is very good.
