%X Due to the disadvantages of mobile IPv6,the HMIPv6 scheme was put forward.The shortcomings of MAP discovery protocol in the HMIPv6 were introduced,and the considerable factors for MAP discovery protocol from mobile speed,mobile network track and choice policy of MN and administrative region and preference of MAP were analyzed.The initiative of MN for selecting MAP was emphasized.A new MAP discovery protocol was brought forward and it's algorithm was described.With this method,the rate of loss packet and the delay of transmission were decreased and the performance of HMIPv6 was improved.
