%X Fractal image denoising is a novel approach of image processing which can be applied for image denoising through estimating the noise variance and fractal encoding parameters of original image from the noise image. On the basis of this approach, the block effect brought by fractal encoding was weakened. Experimental results show that the resulting fractal code yields a significantly enhanced and restored representation of the original noisy image with an acceptable PSNR.
