%X The end-to-end minimum packet delay is a basic metric that reflects the topology characteristic of an end-to-end path, and has been widely used in many network applications. However, there is less work on how to measure it. By means of network simulation, this paper quantitatively analyzed the measurability of end-to-end minimum packet delay under different path lengths; and a linear equation, which described the relation between probe packets number and the path length, was also built in this paper. Finally, a method for measuring minimum packet delay was proposed. Experiments on the Internet show that the method can get more accurate results with smaller measuring cost.
