%X This paper introduce a kind of VoIP protocol named IAX(Inter-Asterisk eXchange protocol) which is used in an Opensource SoftPBX Asterisk system.Describe the implementing of the interworking function gateway for IAX and SIP(Session Initiation Protocol),include the mapping of the registration,authentication,normal call flows in IAX protocol to SIP protocol and the way to translate IAX2 MINIFRAME to the RTP/RTCP media stream.
