%X In this paper, we proposed a new iris recognition method based on the analysis of local regions. By means of using some Gabor filters, the original images were transformed into some filtered images, in which the coefficients can describe the similarity between the local regions and filters. The iris feature was extracted by getting the weighted average of the coefficients of each point in these local regions. The iris feature matching was based on the Euclidean distance between the corresponding feature points. The experimental results illustrate that the proposed method is effective.
