李明 %A 杨雷 %J 计算机应用研究 %D 2010 %I %X To improve heavy overhead and long detection latency while implanting FMIPv6 and DAD mechanism for fast handover in mobile WiMAX networks, this paper proposed a cross-layer fast handover scheme. In proposed scheme, used FMIPv6 and mSCTP, and considered ODAD mechanism also. It not only eliminated the overhead of establishing tunnel, but also reduced the overhead of address detection. Evaluating performance of proposed scheme with NS2, simulation results show the packet loss and the handover latency are significantly improved, up to 65% and 60% respectively. %K mobile WiMAX(worldwide interoperability for microwave access) %K FMIPv6(fast handover for mobile IPv6) %K mSCTP(mobile stream control transmission protocol) %K ODAD %K fast handover performance
