%X This paper presented a two-stage channel estimation algorithm and a related decorrelation interference cancellation multi-user detection algorithm in uplink out-of synchronous TD-SCDMA systems with strong MAI. It consisted of two parts. The first part which estimated the channel path attenuation and transmission delay was two-stage channel estimation, followed by the second part, which performed decorrelation and interference cancellation based on the result of two-stage channel estimation. Simulation results of out-of synchronous scenario with strong MAI demonstrate that the proposed algorithm exhibits better performance than conventional detector such as marched filter, joint detection and decorrelation algorithm.
