%X This paper proposed case retrieval and similarity assessment using ontology and presented a case adaptation model based on ontology, which made the CBR system could be developed in the semantic level for similarity assessment and case adaptation. The result met the needs of users better. Moreover, ontology allowed the knowledge engineer to use knowledge already acquired, reducing considerably the knowledge acquisition bottleneck. Finally,proposed a framework developing CBR applications based on ontology, which improved the efficiency of development from the perspective of software reuse.
