%X GPSR is a robust geographical routing protocol for Ad hoc networks, but the excessive number of hops commonly created by the perimeter mode can become an issue when multiple packets are generated for the same destination. This paper proposed a simple yet effective routing algorithm OGPSR (optimal greedy perimeter stateless routing algorithm). OGPSR algorithm was capable of reducing a large portion of hops if the first packet delivered by GPSR ever enters perimeter mode.
