%X Fusion rules are very important in image fusion algorithms. Because the rule of local energy has advantage in choosing coefficients and the wavelet based Contourlet transform is of multi-scale and multi-direction.A method based on the rule of local energy for image fusion using wavelet based Contourlet transform (WBCT) was proposed. Because the transform was shift-variant,Cycle Spinning was employed to restrain image distortion.The experimental results indicate that this method can get lower RMSE value and better visual effect.The runtime of the method is reduced at the same time.
