%X After describing the essence and characteristics of ant colony algorithm, this paper analyzed the key mechanisms of the existing representative ant colony algorithm and the application fruits. Then compared their characteristics and application areas. Finally, it summarized the important features that good ant colony algorithm possess, and introduced future research strategies and trends.
