%X The paper first analyzed the security threats of VANET(vehicular Ad hoc networks) MAC layer and the principles of attacks.Secondly it illustrated and evaluated present solutions for the threats and attacks,and proposed the security architecture for VANET MAC layer.Finally it discussed the unresolved topics in the implementation process of security mechanism and showed the further directions.
