%X The mounting of USB storage devices under desktop Linux requires user input shell commands to mount/un-mount the devices manually. This process usually is very difficult for ordinary users. This paper proposes an auto-mounting method in Linux kernel for USB storage devices, which solved the problem of USB storage device mounting management. This method realized the PnP for USB storage devices under desktop Linux.
