%X Firstly this paper deeply analyzes the load balance technology based on fourth level interchange. Secondly a design scheme of load balancing system using IXP2400 network processor is put forward. The system realize fourth level switching and load balance module including basic second level switching module, and this technology idea:"Processing at the first time, Switching for the follow packet" is also introduced to system design, which make the operation speed improving greatly. Besides, due to using the network processors with extremely flexible programmable ability, the total system has the good extensibility and practicability.
