%X To facilitate the exchange of plant data across platform and hierarchy, the OPC foundation has designed and released OPC XML-DA interface specification based on Web services. A middleware gateway is designed and implemented to XML-enable the existing OPC COM plant data and elevate OPC COM DA servers. The two different interfaces can parallel closely through such a middleware gateway.
