%X Software resource sharing is the fundamental technology supporting networked manufacturing ASP platform.The(idea) to implement software resource sharing is server-based computing technology.The principles and characteristics of several server-based computing technologies are researched.X terminal,Windows terminal,MetaFrame,GoGlobal,Tarantella and VNC are discussed.The application of server-based computing technology working in networked manufacturing ASP platform is introduced.
