%X Computer networks are becoming increasingly vulnerable to attacks. Agent technology has been applied in a variety of fields. An agent can be defined as a software program capable of executing a complex task. We use agent technology to implement Large-Scale Distributed IDS. This paper proposes a task distribution mechanism to manage the mobile agents of the LD-IDS. We describe the mechanism model and discuss its implementation.
