%X In this paper,a QoS-based handoff supporting mechanism in mobile wireless Internet is disussed.In the proposed mechanism,the mobile assisted handoff strategy is adopted,the dynamic handoff criteria is formulated based on the underlying information,and the soft and hard hand handoffs are used alternatively and seamlessly,with rerouting,QoS control for frequent handoffs and caching utilized,providing QoS support sufficiently.Prototype system implementations have shown that the proposed mechanism is both feasible and effective.
