%X Iris recognition is regarded as the most reliable and accurate biometric identification system available. In this paper, a new algorithm based on the WT zero-crossing representation of iris recognition is proposed. Feature is extracted with an appropriate scale wavelet, then the Hamming distance is used to match two iris codes. Experimental results showed that the developed system with high identification rate could be used for a personal identification system in an efficient and effective manner.
