%X The intrinsic diversity and complexity of home application environment determines that home network should have composite network architecture as well as dynamic and robust distributed application framework. In this paper, a distributed home network architecture composed of some different types of networks is described firstly. Then a few typical service discovery technologies proposed by academe and industries are introduced in details. At last, the problems and key characteristics of service discovery technology for home network are summarized roundly.
