%X Watershed algorithm is akind of image segmentation algorithm based on mathematical morphology. The high sensi-tivity of the watershed algorithm to noise yields a very large number of catchment basins, lead to oversegmentation. This algo-rithm uses the multiresolution of wavelet transform to overcome the oversegmentation. It also improves the computing speed and the ability of noise suppression.
