%X Based on the analysis of requirement and technology driving force of the CAID technology for CIMS, the connotation and basic features are discussed. Combining the technology of information share, make-to-order and collaborative design, three paradigms of CAID technology for CIMS are proposed. Associated with the process of industrial design, the necessity and rationality of the paradigms are analyzed. Finally, the key technologies for application of each paradigm are discussed and the feasibility of technologies is demonstrated.
