%X Concerned the inadequate support of CAD and the low usage of existed car in car configuration design, this paper brought forward a method of designing car configuration based on pattern recognition and a tree-like GA. Experiments have proved that, this method uses existed resource sufficiently and creates new car configuration automatically, improves the design efficiency.
