%X This paper discussed two computing paradigms in sensor networks in detail. On the basis of application requirements in condition monitoring for armor equipment,proposed a wireless sensor network based condition monitoring system framework.analyzed the different characteristics of the two layers of sensor networks used in data gathering and transmission.Then presented a hybrid computing paradigm based data gathering mechanism in distributed sensor networks,which combined the advantages of both paradigms.
