%X With increasing emergency resulted from man-made or natural disaster, emergency system plays a significant role in mitigating, rescuing of disasters and recovering after disasters and receives extensive attention in academy and engineering. This paper reviews developments of emergency system, including its development and applications. Comments on existing problems and trends of progress are discussed.
