%X Video mining deals with the extraction of video semantic info, implicit patterns and knowledge from video data. Smart video applications may be helped by using it. This paper investigates video mining technology. The concepts, technique implementations and applications of video mining are summarized and discussed in detail. The challenges in the research of this field are also pointed out.
