%X Time warp is a synchronization mechanism,which is widely used in Parallel Discrete Event Simulation(PDES).Reviews time warp PDES from several ascepts,i.e.event list management,message cancellation,optimism control,state saving and restoring,memory management,global virtual time computation and so on.Problems of time warp PDES are addressed and various methods for improving simulation performance are analyzed and compared.The prospect of applying PDES to solve real-world problems is lastly given in the paper.
