%X Firstly,an overview of all approaches storing XML documents based on relational databases is given.Secondly,the principle of decomposing XML documents into relational storage,which is proposed in the X-RESTORE,is introduced.Thirdly,evaluation modes for XML queries are analyzed.Finally,we show how to reconstruct the XML document fragments of query results based on X-RESTORE,and give a reconstructing algorithm that is proved to be very efficient by cost analysis and experiment.So,the X-RESTORE can support all evaluation modes of XML queries effectively and efficiently.
