%X The structure of the quenched Fe-28Al alloy was investigated by means of magnetic measurements, microstructure observation and X-ray diffraction. The results showed that the second phase could precipitate at grain boundaries of the alloy quenched from B2 region. It has been recognized to be Fe_3AlC_x (k-phase), the carbide of Fe and Al.
