%X A mathematical model of the diffusion coating, the compound layer and the temperature control on 42CrMo steel was developed on the basis of experimental data of tuff-ionitriding process with reference to relevant mathematical relations. The ionitriding parameters controlled by micro-computer were established by a software of computerization. It has been also observed that CO_2 may accelerate the plasma ionitriding.
