%X Study was made of the micellization, interfacial characteristics and extraction kinetics of a newly developed D_2 EHPA-H_2 RPA-Al~(3+) mixed system. In the system, more vigorous micellization and better interfacial acitivity of H_2RPA were revealed. While it has a decreasing tendency to micellization and inter facial activity with increase of D_2EHPA content. The adsorption behaviour of H_2RPA at the in- terface is quite contrary to that of D_2EHPA. The controlling mechanism of extra- ction kinetics for the non-micella mixed extractant system was confirmed as the type of interfacial chemical reaction, and the equation for extraction rate was thus obtained. This non-micella extraction system of mixed extractants seems to be favourable to hydrometallurgy.
