%X Isothermal transformation of austenite to bainite of different merphologies in some low carbon Mn-Nb-V and Mn-Mo-Nb-V steels was investigated.The experimentel results showed that both granular and featherlike bainite formed over the bainitic transformation temperature range and did not contain carbide. The granular bainite with non-directional islands formed in the high temperature range of bainitic transformation, the granular bainite with directional islands formed in the medium temperature range. The bainite which formed in the lower temperature range is typically featherlike. But it was found that the carbon-rich austenite islands, Present between ferrite laths, transformed to martensite on cooling. Acicular lower bainite was not observed in the steels.
