%X The morphology and feature of hot cracks in liquid forged steel flat franges have been observed. Once the cracks occur, they will propagate throguh 4 stages, and reveal themselves obviously as 4 featured zones. The growth of the hot cracks seems to be depen- dent upon certain technological factors, such as: liquid steel quality, solidification and stressed state on workpieces, etc.
