%X Dark seams along the rolling direction in certain cases could be observed by means of stereo-microscopic examination of flakes and under higher magnifications in a SEM. These seams were identified as unhealed porosities with crystalline steps and microholes on their inner free surface. The unhealed porosities might be a possible source of flake formation.
