The results show that there are the certain relations between the ATP concentration,as the sludge activity index,and the microbial hydrophobic,they affect the COD removal.When ATP concentrations,as the activity index of hypoxia sludge, are between 0.38 mg/L and 0.77 mg/L, the first-rate of the hydrophobicity of the sludge microorganism is 84% and the highest COD removal rate is 70.01%. When ATP concentrations,as the aerobic activated sludge index, are between 0.86 mg/L and 2.17 mg/L, the first-rate of the hydrophobicity of the sludge microorganism is 75% and the highest COD removal rate is 96.2%. %K activated sludge %K ATP %K ratio of hydrophobicity %K chemical oxygen demand (COD) %K sludge surface properties
