%X A photolysis and oxidation method using high-intensity UV spherical lamp for removal of H2S gas was proposed. The effects of initial concentration of H2S, humidity, oxygen ratio, retention time on the removal of H2S were investigated. Under low H2S concetration levels, the removal of H2S was up to 99%. In the reaction system, humidity had greater effect on H2S removal than oxygen content. The optimum ranges of humidity and retention time were 45%~60% and 6~10 s, respectively. In the H2S removal process, the UV lamp could directly photolyze and oxidize H2S, and the two reactions had synergistic effects.
