%X Sewage sludge and its mixtures with 6%, 12% and 18% (on a dry weight basis) of quicklime were stabilized for 30 days, changes of the sludge physicochemical properties were investigated. The results of the study indicated that the performance of dewatering was improved, the organic matter and nitrogen decreased by 14%~29% and 23%~26%, respectively, while phosphorus was steady. Ascaris eggs were killed in sludge mixes with 18%quicklime.
