%X To optimize the technical parameters of compression and dewatering machine and get the proper pressure value and pressure residence time of waste in the compressor chamber,a series of experimental researches of compression and dewatering characteristics on vegetable waste were done.Through the compression test and analysis of the data,it is proposed that the pressure value of the vegetable waste transfer compactor should be 1.5~2.4 kg/cm2.Results of the dewatering test shows that while the pressure was kept constant,the longer time lasts,the more water yields;while with the holding time kept fixed,the dewatering rate rised along with the increasing of the pressure.But both dewatering ratio with time and dewatering ratio with pressure are non-linear.Dewatering test on Chinese cabbage shows that pressure and residence time are about 2.4 kg/cm2 and 30 s,respectively.
