%X In order to effectively remove the soot particles from black smoke by wet dedusting, it is important to decrease the surface tension of surfactant solution and use flocculant with high flocculation ability which is beneficial to make the soot particles suspended in solution flocculated and precipitated from the solution. In this study, the surface tensions of mixed surfactant solution prepared by cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB), sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS) and lauryl polyoxyethylene (9) ether (AEO-9) were studied. Meanwhile, in order to study the effect of the dissolution of flocculant on the soot particles flocculation and precipitation, the flocculants of Al2(OH)nCl6-n]m (PAC) and polyacrylamide (PAM) were dissolved into the mixture surfactants with the lowest surface tension. The experimental results showed that the highest precipitation ratio of soot particles from surfactant solution could be yielded when the concentrations of CTAB, SDBS and PAC were 0.5 mmol/L, 0.4 mmol/L and 200 mg/L, respectively in the surfactant solution. The precipitation rate was about 94%. Moreover, the precipitation time was only about 2 min due to floc particles with larger particle size generated in the solution.
