Based on the laboratory and pilot test, the aeration performance with different sludge concentrations was studied. The results showed that, when sludge concentration was below 2 000 mg/L, aeration performance was improved as the sludge concentration increased, and at the range of 2 000~3 000 mg/L, KLa reached the maximum value. When the sludge concentration was more than 2 000~3 000 mg/L, aeration performance decreased as the concentration increased, and aeration performance reduced dramatically when the sludge concentration was more than 5 000 mg/L. This law is very significant for the determination of the sludge concentration in design and operation of sewage treatment, so as to reduce power consumption under the premise of the processing requirements. %K sludge concentration %K physical property %K fine pore aeration %K oxygen mass transfer %K total oxygen transfer rate coefficient
