贺文智 %A 李光明 %A 孔令照 %A 赵修华 %A 王华 %A 黄菊文 %J 环境工程学报 %D 2007 %I %X Because of the fascinating characteristics of water at supercritical conditions, supercritical water oxidation (SCWO) is an effective method for the treatment of organic wastes and has been attracting worldwide attention. During the process, the organic compounds react completely with the oxidant in a single-phase reaction forming CO2 and H2O, and the reaction time seldom exceeds some minutes. Although some commercial pilot plant facilities have been set up and used to treat chemical wastewater by SCWO, the process has not become a current wastewater treatment technology due to the limitation by two main problems encountered in such a process: corrosion and salt-plugging. In order to overcome these two drawbacks, a number of technical innovations and reactor designs are developed. This article presented the progress of SCWO technology for solving corrosion and salt-plugging in such a process, and addresses some current issues relating to the process. %K hydrothermal reaction %K supercritical water oxidation %K organic wastewater %K corrosion %K salt precipitation
