%X The technology of biosorption and photocatalysis were coupled to synthesize a double functional chitosan-TiO2 adsorbent (CTA). The CTA can degrade organic pollutants and adsorb heavy metal ions simultaneously. It was found that CTA had a good adsorbility for Ag, and the adsorbility for Ag was 100.3 mg/g when the concentration of Ag was 1 000 mg/L.The CTA loaded Ag had better degradation ability for Methyl Orange than free CTA. Scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrum showed that there was the production of nano Ag and it could drop off from the CTA itself.
