In order to decrease the total bed weight, this material was used together with common granular activated carbon (0.9~1.0 mm) to form a composite bed and a series of breakthrough experiments were determined using benzene vapor. The adsorption capacity and adsorption rate constant were calculated by Wheeler equation. The results show that, under the same experimental conditions, the composite bed shows better benzene removal efficiency than that of granular activated carbon bed alone. For the two beds, the adsorption capacity is a constant which doesn' t change with the air flow rate and the adsorption rate constant increases with the increase of air flow rate. %K Ni-fiber %K activated carbon %K sintering %K benzene vapor %K breakthrough
