%X The cross-sensitivity problem of temperature and strain has handicapped the development of the applied FBG technology. In view of such a problem in FBG strain sensing measurement, several significant solutions for temperature compensation are described systematically in this paper. The principles and characteristics of the solutions are discussed and an improved configuration for temperature compensation by double metals is proposed.
