%X This paper summarizes the development of fruit industry in China, emphasizes the recent advance in the study of NIR nondestructive detection technology for detecting the quality of fruits and analyses the existent problems in research nowadays. At last, the prospect of NIR technology in nondestructive detection of the quality of fruits is given and some suggestions are provided.
